POLICE DETECTIVE KILLED
PORTLAND, Maine _ Hundreds of public safety workers from around New England and Canada are expected to attend a funeral service for a Maine State Police detective who was killed while assisting a motorist. The funeral for Detective Ben Campbell is scheduled for 11 a.m. on Tuesday at Cross Insurance Arena in Portland. Campbell was helping a motorist last week when he was struck and killed by a wheel that had dislodged from a logging truck. SENT: 130 words. UPCOMING: 500 words by 5 p.m.
