Redding police investigate Route 7 vandalism

REDDING — Police are looking for the vandal responsible for causing hundreds of dollars in damage at a Route 7 business last week.

A brick was thrown through the glass window of a shed on display at Empire Fences, 280 Ethan Allen Highway, sometime between 5 p.m. May 13 and 10 a.m. May 15, police said.

The act resulted in approximately $600 in damage.

The family-owned and -operated business on the Ridgefield-Redding border has provided fence and other garden architectural element installation services for more than 20 years, according to its website.

Anyone with information about the vandalism is asked to contact Redding police.
