BRIDGEPORT, Conn. (AP) — A family has been displaced by a serious fire in Connecticut.

The Connecticut Post reports two adults and four children were evacuated from their Bridgeport home after a fire.

Officials say the fire department responded to a second-floor fire at 86 Hawthorne Street at 11:55 p.m. Friday.

The fire was under control an hour later with no firefighters injured.

The family is staying with relatives. The fire is under investigation by the Fire Marshal's Bureau.
