Malmo secures Swedish title with 3-2 win at AIK
STOCKHOLM (AP) — Malmo FF clinched its second consecutive Swedish league title on Sunday by beating AIK away 3-2.
Captain Markus Rosenberg scored the winner in the 86th minute, just one minute after AIK’s Nabil Bahoui leveled the match at 2-2.
Isaac Kiese Thelin scored in the first half and Magnus Eriksson put Malmo up 2-0 early in the second before Bahoui scored a pair of goals to put the Stockholm club back in the match.
Malmo tops the table with 59 points with three rounds remaining. Second-placed IFK Goteborg has 47, one more than Elfsborg and two ahead of AIK.
The win will give Malmo a chance to qualify for the Champions League once again in 2015 after reaching the group stage of the tournament for the first time this year.
