Stamford chamber to host legislative breakfast

STAMFORD — The Stamford Chamber of Commerce will Tuesday hold its 20th Annual Legislative Breakfast with a panel made up of almost the entire city General Assembly delegation.

The breakfast, from 7 to 9:30 a.m., will be held at Deloitte’s offices pm 695 East Main Street.

State Representatives Dan Fox, D-148, Live Floren, R-149, Matt Blumenthal, D-147, David Michel, D-146. and Caroline Simmons, D-144, will attend as panelists.

State Sen. Carlo Leone, D-27, will also attend, according to a news release.

Harry Carey, director of external affairs for AT&T, will moderate the panel.

Some of the topics the group will discuss include transportation infrastructure, the gasoline tax, proposed increases in minimum wage, proposed casinos, the 30-30-30 rail proposal and tolls, according to the release.

“Come hear the Panel Speakers from the Stamford Legislative Delegation discuss these very important issues and more that will impact Connecticut’s future,” the release said.

Tickets cost $35 Pre-Registered Chamber of Commerce members, $40 for members at the door and $45 for all others. A Continental Breakfast will be served at no extra charge, and parking is free.
