Hustisford Halloween dance

November 7, 2018

Editor, Daily Times:

I would like to thank all who came out and supported the Hustisford Soccer club at our annual Spooktacular Halloween Community dance on Friday, Oct. 26, at the Hustisford Community Hall. Over 300 attended this year’s event. This was another very successful fundraiser for the soccer club but more importantly it was a wonderful evening of fun for the community. I would like to thank the following community-minded businesses, organizations and individuals that made this year’s dance possible with their generous donations.

Associate Engineering - Rolair, The Hustisford State Bank, Pivot Point, Hustisford Utilities, ITW Bee Leitzke, Dodge Concrete, The Lulich family, Rubert Chiropractic, Roeseler’s Flooring, Dave’s Painting, Schultz Bus Service, Otto Hopfinger & Sons Inc., Donegon Construction, The Hustisford Booster Club, Mike’s Hardware, Dean and Roxy Mueller, Lebby’s Pizza, Justmann Tractor, K& K Insurance/OK Realty, Once in a Blue Moon Ice Cream Shop, Amy Stemper - Mommy’s Time Out, Alysia Falkenthal - Rodan Fields and the Hustisford Community hall.

We are very blessed to have the support of these wonderful sponsors. With their help we are able to continue to hold this dance each fall. We had over 130 door prizes donated this year. Thank you to Otto Hopfinger & Sons for again sponsoring the iPad/Cash Raffle. The Bischoff family won the iPad and Riley Becker won the $100 cash prize. Thank you to all the wonderful volunteers who worked in the kitchen, at the door and behind the bar especially Sheila Weber who worked the entire evening. Thanks to our DJ Jesse Torres who did a super job. Thanks to Laura Eggleston for all your help. Special thanks to Kim Hopfinger for organizing the door prizes. Thank you to Judy Ashby for all her help cleaning up. Thank you to my contest assistant Billy Kidd and our outstanding contest judges Bob Knueppel, Kayla Knueppel, Judy Ashby, Jill Anderson, Ken and Christi Poppe. This year their job was extremely tough because there were so many outstanding costumes to judge. Thank you to all who got dressed up and entered the contests. We had over 110 contestants; a list of the winners will be in the paper and our November newsletter. Thanks also to Tami Bischoff for taking pictures. The proceeds raised from this year’s dance will be used to offset expenses, so we can continue to keep our soccer program affordable for anyone interested in participating.
