BOZEMAN, Mont. _ When 11-year-old Rose McCarter first joined Scouts BSA and got her uniform, the organization’s old name, Boy Scouts of America, was embroidered over the shirt pocket. TOOLE COUNTY DEATHS _ The Montana police officer who shot a man to death in Shelby two weeks ago has been identified as Senior Police Officer Kevin Supalla of the Great Falls Police Department. The Great Falls Tribune reports that the Great Falls Police Department’s High Risk Unit was asked by the Toole County Sheriff’s Office to assist in the April 22 incident.
WOLF KILLED _ Montana Fish, Wildlife and Parks reports that a rancher has killed a male wolf that was chasing his dogs. The agency says in a news release that the incident occurred shortly after sunrise on Thursday on private land bordering the Helena-Lewis and Clark National Forest near the head of Little Otter Creek, northeast of Monarch in the Little Belt Mountains.
