GLASGOW, Scotland (AP) — Celtic conceded a late penalty to draw 1-1 with St. Mirren in the Scottish Premier League on Sunday, leaving the leaders 13 points clear as they close in on the defense of their title.

Kris Commons put Celtic ahead in the sixth minute but the visitors were made to pay for Victor Wanyama’s dismissal early in the second half, with Paul McGowan converting a penalty nine minutes from time.

Second-place Motherwell’s 3-0 win at Dundee on Saturday means Celtic’s cushion at the top has been cut by two points, and Neil Lennon’s team has won just two of its last six matches.

St. Mirren climbed a place to 10th in the 12-team division.
