New Centerville magistrate reports: Nov. 12

The following preliminary hearings are scheduled before District Judge Sandra L. Stevanus in New Centerville:

Aggravated indecent assault

Robert Ulderich, 23, of Manning Street, Confluence, was arraigned Nov. 6 on three counts each of aggravated indecent assault of a child, aggravated indecent assault forcible compulsion, aggravated indecent assault of a person less than 13 years of age, indecent assault of a person less than 13 years of age and indecent assault forcible compulsion. State police were called to investigate a sexual assault at a Confluence residence on Dec. 23. A girl told her mother that Ulderich assaulted her and described where the assaults occurred. Ulderich is in the Somerset County Jail in lieu of a $10,000 bond. A hearing is scheduled for 11:15 a.m. Thursday.

Hit-and-run

Cristofer Ozuna Pena, 21, Moss Street, Reading, was charged Nov. 6 with accident involving unattended vehicle or property and driving without a license on Oct. 5. State police said Ozuna Pena attempted to pass another vehicle on the Pennsylvania Turnpike and was involved in an accident. Both vehicles stopped. When the man asked Ozuna Pena for his driver’s license and insurance, the occupants got back into their vehicle and fled, police said. Police stopped the vehicle near the 149 eastbound mile marker. A hearing is scheduled for 10:15 a.m. Dec. 20.
