Seventeen Magazine Gets New Editor
NEW YORK (AP) _ Seventeen, the country’s highest-circulation teen magazine, has named former InStyle magazine deputy editor Patrice Adcroft as its editor in chief.
Adcroft, 44, replaces Meredith Berlin, who was named development director for consumer magazines at Seventeen’s parent company, Primedia Inc., it was announced Wednesday.
Adcroft is a 20-year veteran of the magazine business. She has been editor in chief of NetGuide and Omni magazines and also has served as an editor at Good Housekeeping and Family Weekly.
Seventeen has a monthly circulation of about 2.6 million. Its sister publications at Primedia include New York, Soap Opera Digest and Modern Bride.
