Taylor Police Arrest Two Men After Meth Sale

SCRANTON City police arrested two men after a methamphetamine sale Tuesday. Peter Chiappini, 29, of Edwardsville, and Kurt Owen, 26, of Lake Ariel, are charged with possession with intent to deliver and other drug counts. Police arrested the pair after they were involved in selling meth in a parking lot on the 700 block of Davis Street. The pair sold 4.4 grams of the drug about 10 p.m. Tuesday, and officers recovered a gram of the drug from Chiappini and about 14 grams of the drug, plus paraphernalia, from Owen, according to court documents. Chiappini and Owen are each held in Lackawanna County Prison in lieu of $75,000 bail. Preliminary hearings are scheduled for Thursday. — CLAYTON OVER
