A silent march

The frigid winds and blowing snow kept the streets of downtown Ludington largely vacant Sunday afternoon, aside from a solemn procession marching to the steps of the Mason County Courthouse in quiet remembrance.

The annual Right to Life memorial and March for Life event — held in conjunction with thousands of others throughout the nation — took place in spite of the weather, drawing dozens of locals to the Community Church of Ludington on North Harrison Street, where a service was held for those who hope to see changes in the nation’s laws regarding abortion.
