Farmington police: 2 wounded women dropped off at hospital
FARMINGTON, N.M. (AP) — Farmington police are investigating the fatal shooting of a woman who died at a hospital after being dropped off with a gunshot wound to the lower back and the wounding of a second woman dropped off at the same hospital about 45 minutes later.
Police say 24-year-old Francine Delgado of Farmington died early Wednesday morning at San Juan Regional Medical Center after being dropped off at the emergency room about the same time as officers were dispatched to another location because of a report of shots being fired.
Police say 28-year-old Rebecca Jacquez of Farmington was the second woman dropped off at the hospital with a gunshot wound to the buttocks. She was treated and released.
