Monroe PD hopes to ID bank robbery suspect; reward offered
MONROE — Cops are looking to hear from anyone who might have witnessed a bank robbery in town Wednesday evening.
Around 6:50 p.m., Monroe police responded for a report of a bank robbery at the People’s Bank branch inside Stop & Shop on Route 111. It was unclear how much money was taken during the robbery. Police did not specify if a weapon was showed.
The Connecticut Bankers Reward Association is offering a $500 reward for information that leads to the arrest of the person who allegedly robbed the bank.
