SOUTH BEND, Ind. (AP) _ Beth Morgan scored 26 points and No. 24 Notre Dame ran its lead as high as 53 points Wednesday night in routing Pittsburgh 90-51.

Notre Dame (15-5, 10-2 Big East) jumped to a 24-2 lead in the first half, with Pittsburgh (4-17, 3-9) scoring only four points in the first 11:26. The Irish led 50-15 at the half and 78-25 with 11:54 remaining.

Diana Braendly scored a career-high 14 points for the Irish and grabbed six rebounds. Katryna Gaither scored 12 points, extending her double scoring streak to 45 consecutive games, a school record. Mollie Peirick scored 13 points and had eight assists.

Pittsburgh shot just 30 percent and its top scorer was Kelly Senneca with nine points.
