Cheney Moves Into New Residence
WASHINGTON (AP)_ With 100 boxes of books and a big family dinner, Dick and Lynne Cheney moved into the vice president’s official residence Friday.
The Cheneys delayed their move for more than a month while new floors were installed in the Naval Observatory.
Margita Thompson, spokeswoman for Mrs. Cheney, said the last of the couple’s belongings, including 100 boxes of books, was moved Friday from their McLean, Va., town house.
They were spending their first night in the house after having dinner with their daughter, Liz, her husband, Phil, and their three children. ``They were spending the evening, like any couple would, deciding where to put the furniture and organizing the closets,″ she said.
