SYDNEY (AP) — New South Wales has dropped Andrew Fifita to make way for the return of captain Paul Gallen for next week's second State of Origin match against Queensland in Melbourne.

Also returning to the Blues lineup named Tuesday is winger Brett Morris, who returns from a hamstring injury to replace Daniel Tupou.

Gallen, who last year led the Blues' squad that ended Queensland's eight-season domination of the series, missed New South Wales' 11-10 loss in the State of Origin opener with a hip injury.

Hooker Robbie Farah has been named in the side despite not playing since sustaining a shoulder injury in the first Origin match.

"Robbie will train on Wednesday with the rest of the group," coach Laurie Daley said. "It's pretty important to go into an Origin preparation with training under your belt and Rob's an experienced campaigner."

For Queensland, coach Mal Meninga named playmaker Daly Cherry-Evans to replace injured halfback Cooper Cronk.

Initially cleared of serious injury, Cronk is expected to miss up to a month after scans on Monday revealed a low grade meniscus tear in his right knee.
