Hardt, Friendswood girls earn UIL state swim medals

The Friendswood girls’ swimming and diving team finished third in the Univeristy Interscholastic League state championships Feb. 17 and 18 in Austin while Mustang Max Hardt took second in the 100-yard breaststroke and third in the 200-yard individual medley.

Montgomery won the meet with 186 points, Magnolia was second (159 points) and Friendswood took third with 150 points.

Friendswood’s 4 x 100-yard relay team was led by sophomore Lezli Sisung and followed by seniors Allison Proulx and Allie Hansen and anchored by junior Olivia Theall. The girls finished in that event with a team record time of 3:30.90.
