Fox Creek football coach Derrick Quinn steps down

December 4, 2018

Derrick Quinn has stepped down as the football coach at Fox Creek High School.

Quinn will remain the school’s athletic director and will become the head coach of the softball program.

“The athletic department has grown a great deal and I feel I can best serve the school by concentrating all my efforts on the athletic program,” Quinn said in a statement released by the school. “The first task will be to begin searching for the candidate who can best represent Fox Creek and continue to move the football program forward. I would like to thank Mr. Trahan for the opportunity to be a head coach and my staff and players for making this a great experience.”

Quinn was the head coach at Fox Creek for four seasons, leading the Predators to a 23-21 record during his tenure. Fox Creek won a region championship in 2015.

“It has been a great four years of football at Fox Creek,” Quinn said. “I firmly believe the football program is headed in the right direction.”

The school plans to have the position posted prior to the end of the week.
