Annual Pauly Friedman Run Held
The 10th annual Pauly Friedman 5K Family Walk/Run was held Sunday at Misericordia University in Dallas. Proceeds from the event benefited Help Line/211.
The walk/run is held in memory of Pauly Friedman and her commitment to the area’s families. Friedman was a board member at Family Service Association of Northeastern Pennsylvania. She served as board chair from 1988 through 1990 and organized the first fundraiser for Family Service Association of NEPA in modern history. She also formed the Friends Committee, the volunteer fundraising arm of Family Service Association of NEPA.
Help Line/211 is a program run by Family Service Association of Northeastern Pennsylvania serving 17 counties as an information & referral service and first response point for crisis calls. Some of these calls include disaster relief, mental health, homeless services, child abuse/neglect, energy assistance, runaways, holiday assistance, victim services and substance abuse.
