Norwalk police investigating car vs. building
NORWALK — A car crash in the city doubled as an opportunity to caution residents about observing responsible consumption during their Super Bowl parties on Sunday.
Around 4:30 p.m. Sunday, Norwalk Police tweeted a photo of a car that had smashed into a liquor store in the city earlier that day. “Officers investigating a single car crash into a building on Connecticut Avenue at Taylor Avenue with an impaired operator,” the tweet read. Though the tweet didn’t reference the big game directly, it did mention that city police would “have (operating under the influence) units patrolling throughout the city tonight, so designate a driver or use a car service. #SafeNorwalk #NorwalkCT.”
When reached early Sunday evening, Norwalk Police Lt. Terry Blake said there was no further information on the accident.
