Prep roundup: Petitt’s walk-off home run gives Knights 7-4 win
ONA - Easton Petitt hit a walk-off three-run home run in the bottom of the eighth inning to lift Cabell Midland (3-4) to a 7-4 victory over George Washington Monday in high school baseball.
Petitt’s blast made a winner of reliever Brayden Lingenfelter.
Petitt went 3-for-3 with a double and three runs batted in. Peyton Weekly was 2-for-2. Chad Heiner went 2-for-5. Dawson Bryan drove in a run.
Aiden Johnson went 2-for-3 with two RBI for the Patriots. Preston Taylor and Evan Hughes also drove in runs.
The Knights return to action at 5 p.m. Wednesday at home vs. Spring Valley.
