Rescuers search for teen after boat capsizes in Yellowstone
LIVINGSTON, Mont. (AP) — Park County authorities say a teenage boy is missing after a drift boat with five people aboard capsized in the Yellowstone River.
Undersheriff Clay Herbst said in a statement early Saturday that a portion of the river has been closed from Mayor’s Landing in Livingston to the Sheep Mountain Fishing Access site so that rescue teams can search without interference.
Herbst says dispatchers received a call of the capsized boat Friday evening. The five people on board were not identified and there was no immediate word on the conditions of the four who were found.
The boy is reported to have red hair and is wearing a blue shirt and swimming trunks.
Search and rescue teams from three counties are searching the area by boat, on the ground and with search dogs.
