CLEMSON, S.C. (AP) _ Nuria Forns scored all 8 of her points during a decisive 11-3 run in the second half and played a key defensive role in the 16th-ranked Lady Tigers' 81-72 victory over No. 14 Iowa State Sunday.

Forns, who had made only nine 3-pointers all season, hit two during the run for Clemson (16-3) that turned a one-point lead into a 67-58 advantage with 4:55 remaining.

Forns also shut down Megan Taylor, who had only three of her game-high 23 points the final 10 minutes for the Cyclones (13-3).

Nikki Blassingame led Clemson with 16 points and 11 rebounds. All the Lady Tigers' starters scored in double figures.

But it was Forns, who played only four minutes in the first half, who got things going.

Stacy Frese, who had 18 points for Iowa State, had cut a 7-point lead to 56-55 on a free throw. Then Forns hit two 3-pointers and another basket, putting Clemson comfortably ahead.

Forns also rattled Taylor, who was held to 1-of-5 shooting in the final 10 minutes. Taylor had 11 rebounds.

Amy Geren had 15 points for Clemson, Erin Batth 13, Itoro Umoh 11 and Natasha Anderson 10 and 10 rebounds.
