Lacey man accused of killing 2 roommates held without bail
OLYMPIA, Wash. (AP) — A 24-year-old man accused of fatally shooting two roommates in their Lacey home has been ordered held without bail.
The Olympian reports that a Thurston County court commissioner found probable cause Monday to hold Logan Ochoa on investigation of aggravated murder and assault.
Police in Lacey, north of Olympia, found 23-year-old Summer Scheibel, of Olympia, and 25-year-old Nick Olson, of Lacey, dead Saturday.
In arguing for no bail, a prosecutor called the crimes highly violent and said Ochoa could face up to life in prison if convicted.
Ochoa’s public defender objected to that request.
Prosecutors in charging documents say Ochoa initially told police he shot his roommates in self-defense but later told investigators he shot them because they allegedly bullied him.
Ochoa is scheduled to be arraigned Dec. 4.
