VALLEY SANTA: Foster Parents Need Help This Christmas

November 27, 2018

Local couple David and Lauren have been the foster parents of two girls, Peyton and Samantha, for the last two years.

With everything the girls have been through in their short lives, David and Lauren said they work hard to make every day special for them.

For the last two Christmas holidays, they said they worked especially hard to give them a day that they would not have if they were not in their care.

They wrote a letter to Valley Santa asking if Christmas gifts could be delivered to their foster children to make their day more special.

“Anything that can make their day more special is greatly appreciated,” they wrote.

In another letter, three children who were formerly in foster care for a long time before they were adopted asked if Valley Santa could bring them gifts.

“We are good kids,” they wrote in the letter. “We love Santa and being able to write a letter to Santa makes us so happy. Santa, can you help us with a gift or a few but whatever you can give us will make us smile. We thank you and we love you and Merry Christmas.”

Valley Santa needs donations to purchase Christmas gifts for children in need throughout Luzerne County.
