September 26, 2018

The Komets have added two more players to their roster: defenseman Brandon Lubin and forward Jake Hauswirth, both of whom have previous experience with Fort Wayne.

Lubin, 27, played two games last season with the Komets, though he spent 46 games in the lower-level Southern Professional Hockey League with Evansville and totaled four goals and 10 points.

Hauswirth, 30, played a game for Fort Wayne in 2013-14. Last season with Fayetteville of the SPHL, he accrued 26 goals and 65 points in 56 games.

The Komets’ roster is up to 30 players, including 17 forwards, 10 defensemen and three goaltenders, with training camp set to open Monday at Memorial Coliseum.

Also, the previously announced Nickelodeon-themed game the Komets will have Dec. 29 will be centered around the show “Double Dare.”
