Thai Buddhist monk accused of killing gay lover
BANGKOK, Thailand (AP) _ A Thai Buddhist monk has been charged with murder for allegedly shooting his gay lover, police said today.
Police in Nakhon Pathom, 30 miles west of Bangkok, said Peerapol Srinivate, 32, had been angered because his lover had fallen in love with a woman and wanted to break off their relationship.
The name of the 25-year-old victim was not released.
Peerapol had been a monk for 12 years, police said.
