Columbus Asst. Bureau Chief, News Editor
COLUMBUS, Ohio (AP) _ Dale Leach, news editor for The Associated Press in Columbus, has been named assistant chief of bureau for the news cooperative in Ohio.
Keith Robinson, an AP newsman in Columbus, has been named to succeed Leach as news editor. The appointments were announced Thursday by Columbus Chief of Bureau Jake Booher.
Leach, 36, has been news editor in Columbus since 1984. He joined the AP as a newsman here in 1981 after working for the Beavercreek Daily News in Dayton and the Sprinfield (Ohio) News-Sun.
Leach is a native of Springfield and a graduate of Ohio State University. He succeeds Terry Kinney, who recently was named AP’s chief of bureau in Charleston, W.Va.
Robinson, 36, is a Philadelphia native who graduated from Indiana University of Pennsylvania. He began his journalism career at The Madison Press in London, Ohio, and joined the AP in Columbus in 1984.
