Medalist Preble, Shawsheen Tech Soar

Shawsheen Tech beat Greater Lawrence Tech, 115-23, in a Commonwealth Athletic Conference golf match at Patriot Golf Course in Bedford.

Other local winners were Littleton and Dracut. Chelmsford fell to North Andover, 12-8.

The Rams bounced back nicely from a loss to Burlington the day before by capturing the CAC win.

Connor Preble recorded medalist honors with a 42 at Patriot GC. Steve O’Connor shot a 44, while Andre Comeau added 45 for Shawsheen (4-1).

The Lions were not able to upset undefeated North Andover (6-0) at Chelmsford Country Club.

Individual winners for Chelmsford (1-3) were Ben Gastonguay and Cole Lawlor.

Griffin Green, Tommy Hopkins and John Clancy halved their individual matches.

Nick Fisher shot a career-best 42 to lead the Gryphons with 21 points in the defeat.

Jack Wilson and Jacob Lambert also had career bests to contribute for Greater Lowell.

The Tigers remained unbeaten with a victory on their home links of Groton Country Club.

Junior Kyle King fired a 41 to earn co-medalist honors for Littleton (5-0-1).

Kevin Carpenter and David Fitzpatrick played well for Tyngsboro at this Mid-Wach cross-over match held at Stow Acres.

Andover (5-1) defeated Tewksbury (2-2) in an MVC cross-over match held at Renaissance GC.

Sophomore Freddie Curtis carded an even par 36 while leading Bromfield past Ayer Shirley in a Mid-Wach match.

Dracut defeated Methuen at Hickory Hill Golf Course.

Winning their matches for Dracut were Andrew Dickson (5&4), Derek Ripa (3&2), Connor Jones (1 up), Kyle MacKay (1 up) and Caulin Martel (1 up). Dickson was also the medalist with a score of 39.
