A pedestrian was killed after the victim was struck Saturday evening while walking on Glenwood Avenue, prompting police to close down the busy roadway while they investigated the crash.

Brandi Roxanne Mantooth, of Concord, died after she was hit by a small sedan around 10 p.m. at Glenwood Avenue and Marvino Lane, according to the police report. The incident occurred right in front of Atlantic Spas & Billiard, located at 8721 Glenwood Avenue.
