Sandy Hook man busted for drugs in Milford

MILFORD-A Sandy Hook driver stopped for an equipment violation found himself in deeper trouble after police uncovered marijuana and prescription pills in his car early Thursday morning..

Stephen Sabia, 42, of Farview Drive, Sandy Hook was charged with possession of narcotics, possession of less than a half ounce of marijuana and possession of controlled substance.

Police stopped Sabia’s vehicle on Pond Point Avenue near Dawes Street shortly before 4:30 a.m. Thursday. During the investigation police found marijuana and more than 30 pain-killers for which they said he was not prescribed.

Sabia was released on a promise to appear in Milford Superior Court on Jan. 22.
