Wake County deputy charged with simple assault following fight
A Wake County deputy was arrested after she got into a fight with a man Saturday, according to an arrest warrant.
Janie Mae Rowe, 50, was charged with simple assault.
Rowe is listed as a deputy with the Wake County Sheriff’s Office on the Wakegov.com website.
According to an arrest warrant, Rowe “willfully did make an affray to the terror and disturbance of other citizens” in a public place when she shoved and slapped a man. Rowe was arrested by a Raleigh police officer.
The Wake County Sheriff’s Office did not comment on Rowe’s status with the department.
