Cleveland Heights police searching for missing woman last seen walking dog on Labor Day

CLEVELAND HEIGHTS, Ohio — Cleveland Heights police are searching for a woman who was reported missing on Labor Day after walking a dog, authorities said. 

Maria Howard, 31, was last seen Monday just before 8:30 p.m. leaving her apartment in the 2800 block of Mayfield Road in Cleveland Heights to walk a 7-month-old Siberian Husky named Caribbean that she was caring for, Cleveland Heights police.

Howard is described as 5-foot-3 and weighs 135 pounds with black hair and brown eyes. She was wearing a blue tank top shirt and black athletic pants. The dog she was walking had a red harness and a blue leash, police said.
