Tucson police: Woman accused of fatally stabbing a relative
TUCSON, Ariz. (AP) — Police in Tucson say a woman is accused of fatally stabbing a male relative inside an apartment.
They say 23-year-old Dee-Lora Lopez has been booked into the Pima County Jail on suspicion of first-degree murder.
She’s being held on a $1 million bond.
Lopez called to report the Friday night incident to police and officers say they found her waiting outside the apartment when they got to the scene.
Police say 21-year-old Jubi Lopez was found with multiple stab wounds and was pronounced dead shortly after paramedics arrived.
Detectives say Lopez and the victim apparently had an argument and she grabbed a knife and allegedly stabbed the man multiple times before calling police.
Police say the two lived together and are related, but their exact relationship hasn’t been released yet.
