Dodge County Sheriff’s Office to hold K-9 Golf Scramble fundraiser
BEAVER DAM -- The Dodge County Sheriff’s Office has announced that the Eighth annual Dodge County Sheriff’s Office K-9 Golf Scramble fundraiser event will be held on Sept. 7 at the Beaver Dam Country Club in Beaver Dam. Registration is at 8 a.m. with a 9 a.m. shotgun start.
The annual golf outing is a important fundraising event for the sheriff’s office K-9 teams. The department has two multi-purpose police dogs, “Kid” and “Tek” working in Dodge County. Kid and Tek will work on a daily basis conducting searches and detecting illicit drugs, including in our schools, in an effort to keep our local children safe and working toward a drug-free Dodge County. They have also been used to help search for missing at-risk adults and children in our county. All funds raised from this event help to offset the ongoing expenses such as equipment, training and veterinary costs of the K-9 teams.
