LETTER: There will be punishment
I would like to respond to a recent article in The Journal about several hundred Roman Catholic priests in Pennsylvania who are accused of abusing more than 1,000 children over a period of 70 years. My heart breaks for those children and what they went through.
The article said members of the grand jury were sick because so many priests wouldn’t be punished because the statute of limitations had run out. Others wouldn’t be punished because they had died or other reasons.
I would like to say this to that grand jury: Anyone who has done such a thing, even if they don’t answer for it in this life, there is a life beyond this one and God keeps a set of books. All of them will be punished. In the Bible, Revelations chapter 21 says so. - Chris Lowe, Sioux City
