Bridgeport’s Wheeler Dog Park ribbon cutting postponed
BRIDGEPORT — The Wheeler Dog Park ribbon cutting planned for Tuesday morning will be delayed until Oct. 2, officials said.
The rainy weather pushed back the ceremony, set to take place at 11 a.m. at 45 Lyon Terrace, behind City Hall. The ribbon cutting will now be two Tuesdays from the original date — same time and place.
Mayor Joe Ganim, local elected officials and dog’s from Bridgeport Animal Control will be at the park’s opening. The ceremony is expected to last about an hour.
The event is open to the public — and furry friends are welcome.
