Mount Morris man hurt Sunday in motorcycle crash

OREGON – A Mount Morris man suffered multiple injuries Sunday when the motorcycle he was driving rolled over in the 7000 block of North River Road.

Ogle County Sheriff’s deputies responded at 1:44 a.m. A Harley Davidson motorcycle driven by Ernest B. Miller, 30, of Mount Morris, was southbound on River Road with a Kawasaki Ninja motorcycle driven by James D. Emery, 35, of Leaf River.

Both drivers tried to pass a southbound car when Miller lost control. His motorcycle crossed over the roadway and entered the west side ditch before rolling over.

Miller was taken by Byron Ambulance to MercyHealth Hospital in Rockford, where his condition was unavailable Monday. The crash remains under investigation.
