Will Peters scored 6 points, including the winning basket in the final minute of play, and grabbed 10 rebounds as Dracut High edged Haverhill, 42-41, in a Merrimack Valley Conference boys basketball game.

Adam Scaramuzzo (7 points, 4 rebounds, 2 steals, 2 charges taken) and Michael Zacharachuk (6 points, 4 rebounds, 1 steal) played well for the Grey Ghosts (3-7, 1-2 DCL Large).

The Crusaders shut out Cristo Rey in the second quarter en route to the home-court victory.

The win puts LC at 6-3 overall (5-0 CCL Small) while the loss was the first of the season for the Boston school (5-1).

For Lowell Catholic, sophomore Isaiah Taylor had a huge game with 23 points, 7 assists and 8 rebounds. Keenan Rudy-Phol had 13 points and 10 rebounds while Caleb Scott added 4 points with 11 rebounds and 5 blocked shots.

Ryan Murphy tallied 14 points, 8 rebounds and 4 blocks, while Aiden Deady notched 14 points, 5 assists and 5 steals for Billerica in this MVC Division 2 game.
