Flames flare up at Bethel industrial park
BETHEL — Flames reignited Monday morning on the side of the building in the Francis J. Clarke Industrial Park, where more than 100 firefighters spent about eight hours Sunday extinguishing the blaze.
Bethel Volunteer Fire Department arrived just before noon as black smoke wafted from the side of the building at 21 Francis J. Clarke Circle.
The building is home to Intersurface Dynamics and ATP, an adhesive tape company.
The ATP side of the building is gutted and Intersurface Dynamics has smoke and water damage, said Walter Wolk, the building owner.
Firefighters were able to put the flames out within 10 minutes.
