Nebraska men’s basketball adds two recruits over weekend

September 25, 2018

Two days, two 2019 guards committed to the Nebraska men’s basketball team.

The Lincoln Journal Star reports that JUCO guard Jervay Green, a 6’3 native of Denver, announced his intention last night to join the Huskers. Green, a sophomore at Western Nebraska Community College in Scottsbluff, averaged 14.9 points, five rebounds, and 3.7 assists as a freshman last season for WNCC. He shot 51% from the field and 31% from three-point range. As a senior in 2017 at Denver’s George Washington High School, Green averaged nearly 20 points, four rebounds, four assists and three steals for a team that went 25-3. Green’s commitment comes about 24 hours and Mika Adams-Woods, a high school senior, gave his pledge to Tim Miles and the Huskers. Nebraska now has two open scholarships remaining for 2019.
