Marlene Esther (Wright) Osterhoudt passed away on Monday, Feb. 4, 2019, at Columbus Community Hospital in Columbus.

Funeral Services will be held at 2 p.m. on Thursday, Feb. 7, at Bible Baptist Church in Columbus. Visitation will be from 5-8 p.m. on Wednesday, Feb. 6, and from 1-2 p.m. on Thursday, all at the church. Burial will be in Roselawn Cemetery in Columbus.

Marlene was born Oct. 27, 1957, in Columbus, to Merlin and Clarice (Pegors) Wright, and attended Columbus Public Schools where she graduated in 1976. She married Dennis Osterhoudt on June 26, 1977, at Bible Baptist Church. Together they were blessed with five children, four of whom reside in Columbus: Karen (Aaron) Tucker, Joy (Ron) Anderson, Robert (Pamela Keyes) Osterhoudt, and Jeanie (Ryan) Anderson.

Marlene loved the Lord, and was a faithful member of Bible Baptist Church. She taught grades 7–12 math at Bible Baptist Christian School for over 25 years, and was loved by her students. Marlene enjoyed sewing and spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren.

She is survived by husband, Dennis Osterhoudt of Columbus; daughters, Karen (Aaron) Tucker, Joy (Ron) Anderson, Jeanie (Ryan) Anderson, all of Columbus; son, Robert (Pamela) Osterhoudt of Columbus; sisters, Linda Wright and Leanne (Charles) Brinkman of Columbus; brothers, John (Bethany) Wright and Donald (Sandra) Wright of Columbus; and 20 grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by parents, Merlin and Clarice (Pegors) Wright; infant son, Charles Richard Osterhoudt; and sister, Mary Koch.
