No. 20 Utah 75, Wyoming 62
SALT LAKE CITY (AP) _ Angie Thill had 19 points, nine rebounds and a game-high four steals as No. 20 Utah beat Wyoming 75-62 Thursday night.
Julie Krommenhoek had 23 points, hitting 7-of-15 from the field including 3-of-6 on 3-pointers. The Utes (18-3, 8-3 Western Athletic Conference) rolled to a 39-24 halftime lead and led by as many as 19 points.
Courtney Stapp led Wyoming (8-14, 4-8) with 16 points, and Heather Allen had 12.
Utah began the game with a 10-0 run that began and ended with layups by Krommenhoek. The Utes had their biggest lead of the game, 19 points, when Kristi Rose hit a 3-pointer with seven minutes left in the first half.
Wyoming never got closer than nine points after that, with Stapp scoring on a driving layup to cut Utah’s advantage to 62-53 with 5:01 remaining.
The Utes outshot Wyoming 45.5 percent to 38.5 percent and hit 8-of-16 3-pointers to Wyoming’s 7-of-20.
