NEW YORK (AP) _ Treasury bond prices were mixed at midday Wednesday.

The price of the Treasury's 10-year note was up 1/8 point, or $1.25 per $1,000 in face value, around midday Wednesday, while its yield fell to 4.68 percent from 4.70 percent late Tuesday. Prices and yields move in opposite directions.

The 30-year bonds were up 3/8 point and yielded 5.54 percent, down from 5.57 percent late Tuesday.

Yields on three-month Treasury bills rose to 2.38 percent as the discount rose 0.01 percentage point to 2.35 percent. Six-month yields fell to 2.34 percent as the discount fell 0.02 percentage point to 2.29 percent.

Two-year Treasury notes were down 1/32 point and yielded 2.87 percent, up from 2.85 percent late Tuesday.

Yields are the interest bonds pay by maturity, while the discount is the interest at which they are sold.
