FOOTBALL: Central’s Lemenager wins Player of the Week

What a week for Central’s Jay Lemenager.

The sophomore sensation led his team to a huge victory against P-B-L and threw for 394 yards in the process to set a new school record.

And to cap his week, he earned 686 votes to win honors as Daily Journal Player of the week in the largest margin of victory this season.

Milford-Cissna Park’s Angel Salinas finished in second place with 303 votes after his 356 rushing-yard, five-touchdown effort against Alden-Hebron.

Also receiving votes were Bishop McNamara’s Tyshon King, Dwight’s Logan Graham and Herscher’s Carter Hendrix.
