ANCHORAGE, Alaska (AP) _ Katie Voigt scored 22 points to lead No. 9 Wisconsin to an 84-71 victory over Manhattan on Thursday night in the first round of the Northern Lights Invitational.

The Badgers (8-0) fell behind 19-8 in the first seven minutes as Kim Michael scored six points to help the Jaspers get started.

Wisconsin chipped away at Manhattan’s lead, finally going ahead for good 27-25 on Dee Dee Pate’s 3-pointer from the top of the key with 7:28 left in the half. Wisconsin led at halftime 45-34.

The Jaspers (3-4) got a career-high 23 from Michael. Meredith Morse had 12 and Brooke Renkens added 11, all in the second half.

Ann Klapperich and Kelley Paulus each added 14 for the Badgers.
