Crime blotter for Jan. 23

According to reports provided by the Aiken County Sheriff’s Office:

An employee with an Aiken packaging store on Columbia Highway called police Tuesday morning claiming someone attempted to break into the building.

A 63-year-old Aiken woman reported Monday someone stole five checks from her account and withdrew money.

A 46-year-old Graniteville woman called police Monday claiming someone broke into her Chalk Bed Road residence and stole multiple items.

A 28-year-old Aiken woman reported Monday someone has been sending her threatening text messages and calling her at her Martin Road home.

A 46-year-old North Augusta woman reported Monday someone stole her keys and change in a purse on Old Jackson Highway in Beech Island.

Deputies charged a North Augusta man with disorderly conduct after he was seen stumbling around outside a gas station on Jefferson Davis Highway in Beech Island.

A Warrenville man was charged Monday with domestic violence after a woman called police claiming he assaulted her and was grossly intoxicated at their Firewood Road home. Deputies found the suspect in the back yard attempting to flee the scene.
