SOUND TIGERS Hockey’s Jones twins to reunite in Switzerland
Swiss hockey club Thurgau announced Thursday that it has signed former Bridgeport Sound Tigers and Quinnipiac forwards Connor and Kellen Jones for 2019-20.
Connor Jones departs Bridgeport after four seasons after playing 244 games for the Sound Tigers, seventh in team history and the most among any who arrived on a professional tryout.
He was one of only four Sound Tigers to take part in this year’s playoffs and the team’s last postseason appearance in 2016.
Kellen Jones played in Sweden last season, the second time in four years that the twins played in separate organizations. He had been part of the Sound Tigers organization the previous two seasons, playing 88 games for Bridgeport, 58 of them in 2016-17.
