NH brewery releases new beer to benefit local firefighters
SOMERSWORTH, N.H. (AP) — A new beer brewed by a New Hampshire brewery will help the Somersworth Fire Department raise money for the community.
Bad Lab Beer Company says the beer named “Bad Halligan” will give money to the fire department’s charity association for every beer sold. Foster’s Daily Democrat reports the beer is named for the name of the brewery and a halligan — a forcible entry tool used by police and firefighters.
Firefighters John Danni and Tyler Taatjes come up with the idea for the beer and local firefighters helped with the brewing process. The drink will only be available at Bad Lab Beer Company or at special events starting June 17.
Danni describes Bad Halligan as a summer type beer.
